Two Albanians have been sentenced in Italy to 8 years in prison, a fine of 60,000 euros, and immediate deportation after serving solitary confinement.
Two Albanians were arrested in October 2024 for possession of over 200 kilograms of cocaine.
The two young men were part of an Albanian gang, destroyed by carabinieri officers from Vimercate, between Agrate and Milan.
Earlier in Milan, Carabinieri officers had stopped a car with English plates, with only the driver, in which over 60 kilograms of cocaine were found.
Shortly after, in Agrate, in the cemetery parking lot, the other two Albanians were caught waiting near three parked cars that belonged to them.
A total of 140 kilograms of drugs were found in one of the cars: it was hidden in special compartments protected by electrically operated panels, a solution used for years by criminals transporting large drug loads.
Two rented apartments were then found, in Agrate and Milan, which were owned by the arrested persons.
Also found was a banknote counting machine, two vacuum packaging machines, and a bag containing approximately 3,000 counterfeit banknotes.
