Agents of the Aragon Police Department in Spain arrested two Albanians, respectively 25 and 35 years old, as suspected perpetrators of a crime of drug trafficking and another of fraud with electricity.
This is an operation carried out by agents of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade that began in early November when information was received about the possible existence of a drug warehouse in an industrial area in the city of Cuarte de Huerva. The police investigation revealed that someone inside the warehouse would be responsible for both the cultivation of marijuana and the security of the plantation and that they never left the property, being supplied by other members with food and growing materials of marijuana.
Due to the characteristics of the facility being searched, due to its large dimensions and the possibility that the suspects were carrying firearms, the Special Security Operations Group (GOES) specialized in high-risk missions and property attacks, supported from Operation Reaction. Group (GOR) and members of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade entered the property and secured it, using air support.
The interior of the warehouse was modified and redesigned to reproduce the best thermal and humidity conditions, turning it into a factory perfectly optimized to carry out several marijuana harvests per year, housing all kinds of humidity sensors , air conditioning and ventilation equipment, as well as important lighting systems to achieve this.
The criminal organization had built four rooms where a large number of marijuana plants were growing, in an advanced state of flowering, many of them over two meters in height, which would be harvested in the coming days.
On the other hand, the facility was illegally connected to the electricity supply, revealing the sophisticated illegal connections and being charged for these events, in addition to the cultivation and processing of marijuana, for the criminal offense of fraud with electricity.
The entry and control of the property resulted in the arrest of its residents, two citizens of Albanian nationality, as well as the seizure of more than half a ton of marijuana plants in an advanced state of flowering.
The two detainees were brought before the Court of Inquiry on duty in Zaragoza on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 18, which imposed their temporary detention.
