The director of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, Ervin Hodaj, said today in a press conference that the murder of Valter Fjerza has been revealed.

"As a result of the commitment and immediate response of the police structures, it has become possible to clarify the event that happened on 22.09.2023, in the surroundings of Shkodra, near a bar in the village of Hot i Ri, where he was shot dead citizen Valter Fjerza.

From the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the Prosecutor's Office, it became possible to document this event, for which 1 citizen was arrested and 4 others were declared wanted," he said.

The 33-year-old was found murdered outside his car, near the village church.

It is learned that it was his family members who found the young man and notified the police.

The victim does not appear to have a criminal record and it is suspected that the incident occurred as a result of a momentary conflict. Initially, it is suspected that the fight started in the village bar, leading to this tragic event.
