Authorities have released the first details from the investigation into the hotel room in Kefalonia, where 19-year-old Albanian Myrto had stayed before being found unconscious in a square in Argostoli and later dying.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, who it turns out were with the young woman in the last few hours and are suspected of having left her unconscious after consuming cocaine.
During the examination of the premises, investigators identified evidence in both the bedroom and the bathroom, which were seized for further laboratory analysis.
In the bedroom, pieces of artificial eyelashes and two blood stains were found on the bed, while a stained white towel was found on the table.
Other traces were identified in the bathroom, where a stained towel was found as well as marks on the wall.
All of these materials are expected to help clarify the circumstances of the incident, as investigations by the authorities continue.
