The Vlora Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations into the issue of illegal constructions in the "Kodra e Rrapojve" area in Himara, bringing seven people to trial, including four former IMT officials and three citizens.
The investigations, initiated within the framework of criminal proceedings No. 704 of 2021, have revealed that the officials involved are suspected of not having acted in accordance with the law while performing their duties, by allowing or failing to prevent unauthorized construction and harming the interests of the state and other parties.
Citizens MB, BM and Sh.T. have been charged with the criminal offense of "Illegal Construction". While former chief inspectors of the Himara IMT, RH and MN, as well as former inspectors EZ and RK, are accused of "Abuse of office".
All defendants are expected to face justice, where the evidence and individual responsibilities for each case will be examined.
