Two people wanted by the Tirana Police, following the shooting of an 18-year-old woman at the Gjuta Hotel, have been arrested by blue uniforms. They are Sajmir Gjuta and Elvir Gjuta, for whom it has been decided that the investigation will continue at large.
Sajmir Gjuta, 49, is the father of Erisjaldo Gjuta, the 22-year-old suspected of involvement in the incident and currently in prison. Elvir Gjuta is his cousin.
Both are accused of the criminal offenses of "Failure to report a crime" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth."
According to the investigation, after the young woman was injured, Elvir Gjuta accompanied the 18-year-old to the hospital along with the 22-year-old's mother. When asked by the authorities about the circumstances of the incident, they stated that they did not know the girl and that they had found her lying near the roundabout at the Faculty of Economics.
However, subsequent police investigations have revealed that the location of the injury was actually the Gjuta Hotel, where it is suspected that several family members attempted to cover up the crime, including the firearm, which has not yet been found.
"The Tirana Local Police Directorate,
