A 22-year-old man has been arrested by the police after being accused of committing several thefts in several stores in Vlora.
The young man with a previous criminal record for theft robbed 4 stores on January 1 and 2 in the '28 Nëntori', '29 Nëntori' and '24 Maji' neighborhoods.
During the search of the 22-year-old's apartment, the police seized, as material evidence, a quantity of cigarettes, suspected to have been stolen, as well as a knife.
"The investigative structures of the Vlora Police Commissariat, in continuation of their work to prevent and combat crimes against property and wealth, finalized the police operation codenamed "Shops", as a result of which the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:
* KL, 22 years old, resident of the "28 Nëntori" neighborhood, Vlora, for the criminal offenses of "Theft" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".
The investigative actions have resulted in this citizen being the perpetrator of several cases of theft in several stores in the city of Vlora, specifically:
* On 01.01.2026, in the "28 Nëntori" neighborhood, a store was broken into;
* On 02.01.2026, in the "24 Maji" neighborhood, a store was broken into;
* On 02.01.2026, in the "29 Nëntori" neighborhood, another store was robbed.
During the search of the 22-year-old's apartment, a quantity of cigarettes, suspected to have been stolen, as well as a cold weapon (knife) were found and seized as material evidence.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
