Crime Investigation Specialists at Police Station No. 3 in Tirana have arrested JH, 53, a doctor, in flagrante delicto, on suspicion of assaulting the head nurse of the hospital where they both work.
According to the police, the incident occurred after the head nurse had objected to the doctor for clarifying the medical protocol, leading to his physical reaction.
A2 CNN learns that the doctor was known as problematic, had 11 disciplinary measures at the hospital, but canceled them in court. The latest conflict was with the head nurse of the maternity ward. Police Station No. 3 arrested him immediately after the head nurse reported him.
The 60-year-old citizen, head nurse at the "Queen Geraldine" maternity hospital, has reported that today, due to an objection she made regarding the protocol that had to be followed for a patient admitted to the maternity hospital, she was assaulted on duty by the gynecologist Julian Habibaj, 53 years old.
It is learned that after the verbal altercation, the doctor grabbed the head nurse by the throat. Doctor Julian Habibaj is accused of the criminal offense of "Assault due to duty".
