A 45-year-old man has been arrested by Durrës police, accused of committing theft and selling drugs.
It is learned that while attempting to escape, 45-year-old Julian Ismailaj, under the influence of narcotics, crashed his vehicle into a police vehicle.
A search of the vehicle found quantities of hard drugs (heroin and cocaine) and 1 electroshock weapon.
" As a result of the rapid intervention and coordination of operational actions, immediately after a report received about a case of intimidation, specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the Special Operational Force and the services of the Durrës Police Commissariat, finalized the operation codenamed "Multiple Involvement".
During the operation, the citizen who allegedly threatened the complainant, for weak motives, EH, 36 years old, resident of Kavaja, was identified, for whom criminal proceedings were initiated while he was at large. In the vehicle, the 36-year-old was found to have a toy pistol with which he allegedly made the threat. The item was seized as material evidence.
At the time of the 36-year-old's arrest, he was accompanied by citizen JI, 45 years old, resident of Durrës, who, as soon as he saw the approach of the Police services, quickly left in a vehicle. The services immediately gave chase and enabled his arrest. The 45-year-old, while driving at high speed, collided with a vehicle, the Police vehicle. As a result, there was only material damage.
The verifications revealed that citizen JI was driving the vehicle he had rented from citizen BM, 51 years old, under the influence of narcotics. During the search, quantities of hard drugs (heroin and cocaine) and 1 electroshock device were found in the vehicle.
As a result of further verifications, it is suspected that citizen JI, in collaboration with citizen VK, 32 years old, stole a vehicle battery and a quantity of oil yesterday morning from a vehicle service station.
Work continues to capture the 45-year-old's 2 associates, as well as investigations led by the Durrës Prosecutor's Office, to fully document, with legal evidence, the criminal activities in which this citizen was involved.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
