Lezha police have found the second vehicle used by the perpetrators, an 'Audi A4', of the attack that occurred on Sunday, April 26, in Balldren, Lezha, where Kreshnik and Gentjana Mujeci lost their lives as a result.
According to sources, the vehicle was located in the village of Torovicë, after checks were conducted in the area. It is suspected that the vehicle was not only used for the escape, but also for preliminary observation of the target.
During the search, an identity card and driver's license were found in the vehicle, belonging to one of the people already wanted for the assassination.
The vehicle will undergo an examination.
The couple was shot with automatic fire from a vehicle. The suspected perpetrators of the crime used two vehicles, an Audi A4 and a Golf5.
According to the investigation, one of the vehicles cut off the victim's path, and then two of the perpetrators opened fire in bursts. At least 40 shell casings were seized at the scene.
After committing the crime, the perpetrators fled towards the Torovica area, which offers several exit routes towards Velipoja, Shkodra and Shëngjin.
The police managed to solve the murder within 24 hours, but were unable to arrest the suspected perpetrators or seize the weapons used in the assassination.
Renato Mhillaj, 23, Adriano Mhillaj, 22, and Florin Mhillaj, 36, are wanted. They are close associates of Genc Mhillaj, who was executed in 2016, and who was initially suspected of involvement in the murder of Kreshnik Mujeci. The latter, along with two other people, were arrested at the time for the murder of Genc Mhillaj, but Kreshnik Mujeci was later acquitted.
