A hearing is being held at the Gjirokastra Court to determine the security measure against Dali Nela and his father-in-law, Aldo Kalemi, arrested after the murder of 30-year-old Endri Goxhaj, an event that occurred on the evening of April 21 in the center of Memaliaj.
Only Aldo Kalemi appeared at the hearing, while Dali Nela is in hospital after being wounded by four bullets during the collision. The security measure for Ermal Mataj, who was involved in the same incident, is also expected to be reviewed today.
Meanwhile, police have announced a search for Dali Nela's two brothers, Donaldo and Marjaldo Nela, suspected of involvement in the murder. According to preliminary investigations, the incident is suspected to have started as a momentary conflict between the parties, which later escalated into the use of firearms. Investigators are also examining previous conflicts related to drug deals as a possible motive.
Preliminary information indicates that the victim, Endri Goxhaj, was the first to fire a gun at Dali Nela, seriously wounding him. The two Nela brothers are suspected of returning fire, shooting Goxhaj, who died while being transported to the hospital.
After the incident, Donaldo Nela, 29, and Marjaldo Nela, 28, fled the scene in a vehicle and continue to be sought by authorities.
