There is no light punishment for the perpetrators of the murder of Gentin and Nezir Beqiri in Elbasan. The Court of Special Appeals has upheld the sentence of the First Instance, sentencing Ardjan Capjan, Florenc Çapjan and Olsi Leku to life imprisonment for the serious incident of 2012. The appeal also sentenced Ervis Bardhin, associate of justice, to 15 years in prison. , while he gave 25 years imprisonment for Klaidi Dokoli and Etien Çani.
We remind you that Ardian Çapja was arrested on the morning of March 29, 2021, while Florenca Çapja is still wanted as she is accused of ordering the murder of two people, father and son.
Ardian Çapja himself has asked to be declared innocent. He has raised claims that the trial against him for the murder of Gentian and Nezir Beqiri in August 2012, was staged by the Prosecution of Elbasan. According to him, prosecutor Ritvan Suka, who is investigating the event of February 2016, where two family members of Çapja were killed and 8 others were injured, is not clarifying it because politics is involved.
" There are three perpetrators who have been proven to have been involved in the massacre of my family, as well as politics. Those who wanted to keep power and those who wanted to secure votes. Even the late lawyer Ravik Gurra has requested information from the Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan and has made available materials for clarifying this event, and there are doubts that he was killed because of the information he had ", he is known to have expressed earlier.
How did the murder of Gentian and Nezir Beqiri happen?
They were killed in their apartment, where Gentian Beqiri alias Ardian Meta was under "house arrest" and guarded by two policemen at the door of the house, after being accused of murdering the well-known businessman Sokol Çapja, an event that happened in December year 2005, which was allegedly paid by the Çelaj tribe.
The murder of Gentian Beqiri was carried out in the interior of his apartment, located in the "Old Sport" neighborhood in Elbasan, where while he was lying in bed after being paralyzed, he was shot to death with 7 bullets from a pistol with muffler and then they also strangled his father Nezir Beqiri.
This happened while two police officers were guarding outside the door of the house, who were then accused of "Abuse of duty".
According to the file, the order and a financing of 50 thousand euros was given by two members of the Çapja family, while the executors would be Ervis Bardhi, friend of the victim Gentian Beqiri, Olsi alias Jorgo Leka, while observers Etien Cani and Klajdi Dokoli, friends of the victim. In the confession of the associate of justice Ervis Bardhi, it is shown that on the day when the crime was to be committed, Ardjan and Florenc Çapja left Macedonia the day before, in order to have an alibi. In order to strengthen this alibi even more, the Çapjats took a journalist from Elbasan with them.
From the investigation, it appears that on the evening of August 14, 2012, Olsi Leka communicated to Ervis Bardhi, the decision that Gentian Beqiri would be executed the next day. The plan was devised in detail, as Çapjat had given them guarantees that nothing would happen to them, because they had received detailed information about who was a ready prosecutor, an officer and even a ready judge that day. On the morning of August 15, Olsi Leka had with him a quantity of narcotics, as well as two wigs, one black and the other black with white threads. While Ervis Bardhi had a gray hat on his head and a pair of black glasses.
"...When they were crossing the place called "Lopar field", Olsi stopped the vehicle and citizen Ervis Bardhi got out of the vehicle and went to a kiosk, where he bought a bottle of wine.
Then they continued on the road and after coming out near the town hall, they entered an alley which leads to the residence of the citizen Gentjan Beqir..." - it is said in the documents of the prosecution. As they went near the apartment, they noticed that Gentjani's mother had gone out. Olsi took the pistol, put it in his belt and both of them put wigs on their heads. The two of them left the vehicle together and when they approached the parking lot of the building where Gentjan Beqiri lived, Olsi told Ervis: "Don't lose your mind".
At this moment, citizen Ervis Bardhi took Olsi's pistol that was in his belt. When they approached the building, they noticed that one of the police officers was inside the "Golf" type vehicle. At the moment they were entering the entrance of the palace, they noticed that Gentjan Beqiri's father, Neziri, was on the balcony of the resort between the fifth and fourth floors. Ervis Bardhi and Olsi Leka, at the moment they got on the third floor of the building, took off their wigs and left them there and then went up to Gentjani's house.
When they went to the landing between the fourth and fifth floor, they talked to Nezir Beqiri and went up to Gentjani's house. When they approached the door, they noticed that it was open. At this moment, Olsi Leka came back down to the resort and took Gentjani's father upstairs. As soon as they got inside, Ervis Bardhi went towards Gentjan's room, where he noticed that he was lying on a mattress on the ground and was asleep. Ervis Bardhi immediately took out his pistol with a silencer from his belt and shot in the direction of Gentjan Beqiri, who as a result of the noise when they entered stood still.
The first bullet fired from the gun, which was held by Ervis Bardhi, hit Gentjani on the cheek and the pistol jammed. After pulling the trigger again, Ervis Bardhi shot Gentjan three more times in the head, leaving him dead. At the moment Ervis Bardhi shot at the victim Gentjan Beqiri, Olsi Leka was behind him together with Gentjan's father, Nezir Beqiri.
The latter, when he saw their actions, started shouting at them: "...What are you doing...?". At this time, Olsi Leka punched Nezir Beqiri in the face, who fell to the ground. When Neziri was lying on the ground, Olsi Leka started kicking him in the chest. After shooting him several times, Olsi went to the living room, took a pillow and put it on Nezir Beqiri's head so that he would die.
Due to the actions of citizen Olsi Leka, citizen Nezir Beqiri died. After this double crime, Ervis Bardhi and Olsi Leka left the apartment of Gentjan Beqiri and Nezir Beqiri. When they got down to the third floor of the building, they took the wigs and after putting them on their heads, they left the entrance of the building to drive the car, which they had parked in the nearby alley, and left in the "Fushë" area - The king".
