The Tirana police have referred to the prosecutor's office as accidental the fire that engulfed the 10-story building in the area of the former Bus Park on "Sali Butka" street. The police informs that the investigations are continuing for the full disclosure of the incident.
The investigative group is awaiting authorization from the case prosecutor to continue questioning other persons, including the owner of the building, T. Mehillaj. The police still do not have in hand the act-expertise of the analysis of the type of material that covered the external facade of the building, which was fatal for the spread of the fire.
In the meantime, the experts of the fire department continue their work to find out the cause of the fire, it will take a few more days until the final outcome of the expertise, however, sources indicate that it continues with the same result, the cause being overheating of the air conditioner.
