Ben Blushi promotes new novel: It is not addressed to Muslims, but to fanatics!

"I don't offend Muslims, the book is against Sharia, a group of fanatics," Blushi says.

Publicist and writer Ben Blushi has presented his newest novel titled "I am Muslim" to readers.

The writer stated today during the promotion that the novel "I am Muslim" has caused harsh reactions, saying that it was attacked by a group of fanatics.

" I don't offend Muslims, the book is against Sharia, a group of fanatics ," Blushi says.

The writer explained in detail how the idea for the much-commented novel came to him before it even hit bookstores.

" I have a new, unknown love for photography and I go out to take pictures in Skanderbeg Square, and I really like it when I film five thousand Muslims praying there. And I love them for the sake of truth, a lot. So it's a color that reflects our city a lot. This year I didn't go out because it was so rainy. I woke up in the morning, turned on the TV, I see the square full, almost 10,000 people. I'm used to it, it doesn't surprise me. The point is this, the question was, it's with myself that I said this, well, these are so many to have a mosque. Why do we take up Skanderbeg Square for so long? And the mosque takes 10,000 people or 5,000, 6,000, 7,000. So, why do they have to limit it... Most people don't like this, but this is true.

This did not happen 20 years ago, 15 years ago, 20, 30 years ago. Should we then confuse the relations between the secular state and religions so much? I say no, because it is a tide that does not end, does not end, continues, continues, continues, continues and every day gains a little ground. But anyway, I started on March 31, in this, so to speak, closure of my mind, even a little poisoned. I am a little poisoned, definitely.

And fortunately the book went well, and I finished it by mid-July, at the speed I was going to the beach. So I did it very, very quickly, it was 75 days. 75 days, isn't that a little, Bujar? 75 days. Then the editing process of the book took me longer. So the part about removing, about removing, things that I was afraid that... that today, for example, no one would come here. But I had sentences there that no one would come, in my meetings they said what did you write? This is a scandal. You made fun of this, you made fun of that. I removed these parts.

So, as you say, I put a little fish paint on my poisoned arrow or I smeared it with honey. But don't be afraid, it's not true. The book was not as aggressive as you might think, in any version. But this is the most gentle and artistic version of it. And before I tell you the, so to speak, plot of the book, I will ask you to put a photo. Which is actually related to the book. I will put a little of that photo that I sent you. Yes, this, this is a photo where I am in Mecca. And in a sense, half of this book is related to this photo. For what? I went to Mecca for real, as a person interested in understanding what happens there, and also to understand how a people who gave us this religion, namely the Islamic religion, administer their lives. And, while I was observing there, it's a fantastic environment, I don't know who has been to Mecca, I really liked it for the sake of the truth, there is a peace that you can't say, so when you go with prejudice you say this can't be, but when you go there you understand that it is something totally different from what you might think or what they might have told you. Here too, I have, because I went with a camera, a second job, here I took pictures of some pilgrims, this is one of the photos. I have many photos in Mecca, but this is a photo that I posted on my Facebook.

What happened? After I posted this photo on my Facebook, I got about 500 comments from Albanians, obviously terrible. And they all said one thing, you are an infidel. Why are you going there? Because according to the law, where do you know, Islamic, I don't know how, according to the rule, I don't know, as Shkëlzen Majdari explains to us. A person who is not a Muslim should not go to Mecca. I went, because no one stopped me. There is no door there to tell you what you are, no one asks. It is a very free society, compared to those who think we are without going there. I went, I liked it a lot, I had a similar kind of fanfic too.

My character who does the same thing is a writer who goes to Mecca, and there he has a fantasy. He has a dilemma, whether to become a Muslim or not, in the end he does. I didn't have this dilemma, but I had a confusion. Because the atmosphere in Mecca is very, very mystical, it is mystical, it has, it has a magnetism. So it seems to attract you. I also, to preserve my consciousness physically and spiritually, did a little trick, I didn't go to that, to that rotation where people rotate around the Kaaba. I went to the second gate. So I saw it, but I didn't go close because I said, if I went very close, that could convince me.

And I didn't want to be convinced, because I wasn't ready. And this dilemma, this writer I have, I have a character. He goes to Mecca and does the same thing. He gets close to 10-15 meters away because there are two or three gates that you have to pass, and stops. His wife goes, does that, is it called Umrah? She does that rotation. "- said Blushi.

Blushi has sparked a backlash with the seemingly provocative title. He has dismissed these criticisms, explaining in a 2-minute video that he grew up in a Muslim family and values those who believe without censoring others.

" In recent days I have received many messages about my new novel "I am Muslim". Some of them are encouraging, some are enthusiastic, but some are skeptical. In some cases, the cover of this novel has become a meme. I like this a lot too. I have decided to post some of these memes on my Facebook page. They have a lot of humor. But, unfortunately, some comments and some memes are very offensive. I still understand them all, " Blushi said today on his Facebook profile.
