The well-known sculptor Agim Rada died this morning, as a result of a serious lung disease. Rada is said to have been admitted to the Sanatorium hospital on Wednesday and today he breathed his last, at the age of 70. The news is made known by his close friends, who today could not have the opportunity to talk to dear Gimi.
Born on May 24, 1953 in Tirana, Agim Rada has put his 'stamp' on very famous bronze statues of figures such as Marin Barleti, Gjergj Elez Alia, Onufrit, and Petro Marko, and many others.
The portrait of Mit'hat Frashëri, Rada, is wearing a smile and a bow tie, just like the busts of the Frashëri brothers.
It was precisely his passion for his work that made him memorable, but he also forgave his illness. This, since the well-known sculptor had problems with his lungs precisely from the dust caused by his artistic creativity. In this case, it must be said that for the sake of his art, Agim Rada gave his soul, in the first sense of the word.
