
Randy Meisner, the American bassist and singer who co-founded the rock group 'Eagles', has died aged 77.
Meisner was a founding member of the band in 1971 and the lead vocalist on the song 'Take It To The Limit', which he also wrote.
He contributed soaring harmonies to the band's Californian mega-hits, Hotel California and The Best of My Love.
His death was confirmed Thursday on the Eagles' official website. Meisner died of complications from chronic lung disease.
