Internationally famous writer Ismail Kadare has been honored with the title "Ukshin Hoti" by the Municipality of Rahovec.
In a special ceremony, the communication between Kadare and Ukshin Hoti, while the latter was in prison, was remembered. Meanwhile, it was said that Ukshin Hoti's trust in Europe should not be lost in Kosovo.
The Mayor of Rahovec Municipality, Smail Latifi spoke about the contribution and work of Ukshin Hoti, as well as the communication between Hoti and the writer Kadare. The wife of Ismaili Kadare, the writer Helena Kadare, who was present at the ceremony, said that Ukshin Hoti is a man who believed and fought for ideas, believing in an extraordinary strength that is in the soul of this country, which history has constantly punished.
She added that all the activities of Ukshin Hoti are an important testament on which the work must continue for a democratic Kosovo that looks towards Europe.
We remind you that the writer Ismail Kadare was decorated with the "Hasan Prishtina" order by President Vjosa Osmani. Kadare was thanked for the dedication with which he defended Kosovo's right to freedom and independence, as well as for the extraordinary skill in the art of words expressed through his works.
