14 years from January 21, Berisha removes responsibility from himself: This
Sali Berisha

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted regarding the event of January 21, as 14 years have passed today.

The democratic leader, who was prime minister at the time, said that on the night of the protest, he had demanded an international investigation into the incident.

Even though under investigation for the serious incident of January 21, Berisha continues to deny responsibility for the 4 victims of that day.

Claiming that the investigations conducted at the time were correct, he accuses that the event is being used for political purposes.

"First, I expressed my regret for the victims, not after 14 years, as you claim, but I expressed it precisely at 7 pm that night, the day of the siege, January 21, 2011, and repeatedly.

Secondly, that same night and the next day and the day after that, I requested an international investigation into the matter. The most serious international institutions have stated that that violent protest had a political agenda.

Thirdly, there is a statement from the US government demanding an investigation from the police to the organizer, who is Edi Rama.

Fourth, those who do not want to deceive themselves and do not want to use the misfortunes of others for political fodder, should know that in these 14 years the Prosecution Office has been under the control of Edi Rama. It was Ina Rama who I accused of being a putschist, who refused international prosecutors. The other prosecutors, no one other than Edi Rama, did not prevent them from investigating.

The political use of this event, where they were brought for political purposes to occupy the Prime Minister's Office, is evidence of the misuse of this event entirely for political purposes and to hide the organizers who brought people to the most violent protest that politics has seen in these 32 years.

"I support the investigation and declare that there is nothing else but to escape the responsibilities of the one who organized the most violent protest for the purposes of his power, Edi Rama," Berisha said.
