The Special Prosecutor's Office seems to have been put to the test. Today, the criminal proceedings were registered for the murders of January 21, 2011 during the opposition protest of that time.
SPAK was afraid of this file and tried to stop it at the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana. The Supreme Court decided that this state murder should be investigated by Special Prosecutors, who should investigate two important names: the former Prime Minister of that time, Sali Berisha, and the former Minister of the Interior, Lulzim Basha.
SPAK itself announced today that it will investigate the role of each of them. Basha himself appeared in front of the media and tried to exonerate himself, saying that he did not give any order on January 21, 2011 to commit murder.
But to be more precise, Basha is probably the person who knows the most of all. He knows very well what happened that day and where the orders to carry out the executions came from. But he is avoided.
When he started the battle with Berisha, Basha sent a coded message to the former prime minister, after mentioning "January 21". " DP has been and is ready to face any situation. In miniature, Berisha copied Tom Doshi's scenario on January 21, but I did not respond, as Berisha responded on January 21 ," was Basha's statement that caused a stir. It was clear that it was a threat, but Basha changed the plate very quickly. He then said that he was talking about Berisha's public stance, meaning the attacks on Bamir Topi or Ina Rama.
This was the only occasion when Basha spoke about January 21. But now the question arises: Will Basha speak when he is interrogated by SPAK? According to the decision of GJL, he will have to be questioned and now he has in hand to completely sink Berisha. Undoubtedly, Basha knows what happened and avoided it because he has a finger himself. But if both risk prison, will Basha turn into a "pentito"? Does it mean that it was Berisha who gave the order to shoot?
Also, next to Basha is another name that, if he speaks, sinks the former prime minister. It is about Endri Hasa, who today is Lulzim Basha's sidekick, but he was once the head of IT in the Prime Minister and he has been accused of being the person who deleted the servers and security cameras. He is the person who wiped out all traces of the terrible event.
