Former LSI leader and former MP Monika Kryemadhi has reacted to accusations of unjustified wealth, clarifying her family's financial situation through a confession on the "Log." show on News24.
Asked if she is rich, Kryemadhi said that for her, wealth is not measured by money or property, but by family values.
" For me, wealth is family. I am neither rich nor poor. I was born in the middle of Tirana," she said, emphasizing that everything in her life has been documented and transparent. She indicated that since 1995, her family has had income from legal and notarized rental contracts from an apartment in the Shallvare area.
“I have a notarized lease contract dated September 27, 1995, with $500 monthly income for three consecutive years,” Kryemadhi explained, adding that this income was only part of the family's resources.
Next, Kryemadhi listed other subsequent contracts, which, according to her, were all notarized and accompanied by the relevant tax payment mandates.
"In 1999 we had another contract with 1.5 million lek per month, while from 2001 to 2006 we had another with 2.5 million lek per month ," she stated.
She insisted that any income is documented and justified through contracts and tax documents.
