An unprecedented situation has come to light, exposing a serious security scandal in the Albanian Ministry of Interior. Bilbil Dervishi, Advisor for Security and Secret Mail to Minister Ervin Hoxha, has been registered as a candidate for deputy on the list of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), led by Tomë Doshi, declared "non grata" by the US, the UK and with a criminal record in Australia for drug trafficking, money laundering, corruption and ordering murders for hire.
Bilbil Dervishi is the official who administers and has exclusive access to the secret mail and sensitive information that Minister Ervin Hoxha exchanges with the country's main security institutions, including the Prime Minister's Office, the State Police, the SHISH, the Prosecutor's Office, SPAK, BKH, Anti-terror, Anti-trafficking, Anti-smuggling, Interpol, Customs, as well as with foreign partner security agencies such as the FBI, CIA, DEA and EUROPOL.
Dervish's candidacy with Tome Doshi's party presents a serious conflict of interest and raises strong doubts about the security of information and the integrity of Albanian institutions. According to the law on decriminalization and the standards of high-ranking officials, such an official should not have any contact or cooperation with persons who are subject to criminal investigations or involved in criminal activities, and even more so with a figure like Tome Doshi.
Although there is no direct evidence that Bilbil Dervishi has leaked secret information to the PSD leader, his political connection with Tomë Doshi, consolidated since the 2021 elections and already repeated in the May 11, 2025 elections, is enough to cast doubt on national security.
This alarming fact seriously questions not only the integrity of the Ministry of Interior and Minister Ervin Hoxha, but also the government's real commitment to the fight against organized crime and corruption./ Pamphlet
