Has he met Shkëlzen Berisha? Erion Veliaj speaks for the first time

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, called the statement that he had met with the son of former prime minister Sali Berisha, Shkëlzen Berisha, a lie.

He said that he may have seen her with him for the last time in the courtyard of the "Sami Frashëri" gymnasium, when they were teenagers.

" I may have exchanged with Shkëlzen Berisha for the last time when we were high school students. He was a year above me. Since then, I have understood that a person, in adolescence, begins to understand who knows how to govern badly and well. Even then, at school, we didn't even mix in the yard because the family was stigmatized, which brought the problems with the pyramids and the destruction of the country ," said Veliaj.

He added that the slanders that are being spread in the yard of the blue headquarters are the result of what Sali Berisha himself has sown over the years.

" If they are breaking up with each other, then it will be good for you. Because Saliu himself invented such things. Saliu himself, during the last campaign, said that Erion Veliaj, in 1977, two years before he was born, had become a famous guitarist from California, had also created a rock group and had gone to Iran. So, according to him, I had committed all these sins before I was born. The principle is: whoever sows wind, reaps storm. Saliu, Zeni and their whole family, and that girl who comes here to the municipality with molotov cocktails and says "release dad", are reaping what they have sown themselves ", declared the mayor.

Veliaj also responded to Shkëlzen Berisha's public statement, when he said that because of the trouble his father is in, he is forced to pay people to come to protest.

" I don't care at all what he says because we defeated his father three times in the general elections and three times in the elections for the Municipality of Tirana. Since he will engage politically, let Bujrum come and run. I am not moved by a man who blew up a village and a man who, because of the trouble his father is in, is forced to spend his own money to bring people from other cities because he can't go to Tirana to protest. In this sense, he continues with his adventures, while I have work to do. Our paths have diverged since Sami's yard ", declared the mayor.
