Roland Bejko has raised strong accusations regarding May 11, when he said that there are allegations that the candidates' votes were misappropriated.
Bejko referred to the case of Ilir Alimehmet, who demands transparency.
On the Real Story show on ABC News, Bejko said that there are five candidates for MPs who are demanding transparency and a re-evaluation of their votes.
“There are some candidates who want the votes to be counted and the truth to come out,” Bejko said. He added that candidate Ilir Alimehmeti has raised concerns about a polling station where, according to footage provided by the CEC, around 30 votes were found that, according to him, were not counted as part of the support within the coalition,” he said.
Bejko stressed that although Alimehmeti has not publicly acknowledged this fact, the situation raises serious concerns about the ethical and moral integrity of the process. He criticized the current leadership of the DP, linking the problem to the leadership of Sali Berisha.
"There is a major ethical and moral problem with the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who on the one hand declares that he is not withdrawing from his mission, but on the other hand we have allegations of an 'electoral massacre' within his list of candidates," said Bejko.
He also mentioned that he had personally communicated with one of the dissatisfied candidates, who told him that the votes were distributed unfairly, favoring other names within the list.
