The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has issued strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and his brother, Olsi Rama, linking them to the activity of call centers that, according to him, engage in fraudulent activities.
In a public statement, Berisha described the phenomenon of call centers as the "most criminal" in Albania, claiming that these structures defraud foreign citizens and generate large illegal revenues.
He also mentioned the name of Amant Josifiti, who he said fled to Dubai. "Amant Josifiti fled to Dubai, they say Olsi Rama escorted him. I'm not a person who knows about those border controls, but that's what they say. Olsi Rama was Amant Josifiti's manager," Berisha said.
According to him, Josifi has been arrested in Dubai by international authorities, while adding that investigations into this matter are expected to be carried out by Spanish authorities.
Berisha raised other accusations, claiming that hundreds of call centers in Albania are defrauding citizens from countries such as Italy and Austria, while the money, according to him, ends up in structures linked to the prime minister's family. He also mentioned the use of cryptocurrencies and claimed that the profits reach large amounts, citing a minimum of 30 million euros.
