
The United States of America has sent a clear message to politics that corruption is still a problem. It was the acting Deputy Head of the US Mission Mischere Kawas, who asked the Parliament to do more than it should to fight corruption.
She has also sent a message to the deputies in this regard. Her statements were made during a conference regarding the role of the Assembly in the fight against corruption.
Acting Deputy Head of the US Mission and head of USAID/Albania Mischere Kaëas participated in the conference of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Albania, "The Role of the Albanian Parliament in Curbing Corruption", where she affirmed the commitment of the US in the efforts of Albania to improve accountability, transparency and justice. Parliament has an essential role in the fight against corruption and it is everyone's responsibility to work together to fight corruption. Today's activity encouraged the government, the media, civil society and other partners to support the parliament in increasing accountability and transparency ," the statement released by the US embassy emphasized.
