The deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, attacked Lulzim Basha as he compared him to the former mayor of Fier, Baftiar Zeqo.
Bardhi said that he will not believe that Basha will become a "Baftiar Zeqo" of the Albanian Parliament, coming running just to vote for the Rama government's laws.
During a statement to the media after the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, Bardhi said that he does not believe that there will be any opposition MPs who will vote for the law proposed by the government to increase the salaries of judges of the Constitutional Court.
"I don't want to believe that there are opposition MPs in the Parliament who tomorrow will give the message that Rama is a good man, has increased the salaries of the members of the Constitutional Court, that he wants them to be independent. I only heard one person who stated it, maybe he didn't have full information about what it was about.
This law has nothing to do with the Justice Reform, nor was it consulted with our strategic partners. Any law that affects the Law Reform laws must be assisted by our partners. This is the reason that we have a clear bargain between the members of the Constitution and Rama.
I don't want to believe that Basha is Baftiar Zeqo of the Assembly who comes running, without giving any argument, just to vote for the government's laws. Basha has not come to the Parliament for 1 and a half years and to come running to vote for a law from Rama, as if Rama has become a good man and wants to increase the salaries of the judges of the Constitutional Court, means that you are Baftiar Zeqo i Assembly", said Bardhi.
