Opposition MP Gazment Bardhi has asked the President of the Republic to block the law on investigative commissions.
The SP changed the law by establishing strong conditions for the establishment of an investigative commission. Bardhi asks Bajram Begaj to return the law for reconsideration.
In his 7-page letter dated January 8, the reasons why he considers it unconstitutional are listed.
According to Bardhi, the law proposed and approved only with the votes of the socialists, has in itself three main goals:
The discussion of the unconstitutional decision-making up to now for the overthrow of the demands of the opposition MPs for the establishment of investigative commissions;
Putting under full control of the majority the right of opposition MPs to establish investigative commissions; and in the event of the establishment of investigative commissions, the impossibility of exercising effective parliamentary investigative control.
