The former head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, has reacted to the kidnapping of 3 policemen in the north of Kosovo, describing it as a low and provocative act aimed at destabilization.
Through a message on social networks, Basha calls on Aleksandër Vucic to immediately stop the provocations and order the release of the Kosovo Police officers.
" The abduction of three Kosovo police officers today by the Serbian special forces is a low provocative act aimed at destabilization.
The territorial integrity and sovereignty of Kosovo is inviolable, guaranteed by the international factor, and such acts are simply attempts to escalate tensions.
Aleksandër Vucic should immediately stop the provocations and order the release of the Kosovo Police officers!
Kosovo and Serbia should, without wasting time, sit down at the negotiating table and together with our partners the USA and the EU, find a solution to the situation created and to put an end to mutual recognition of the disputes that are constantly producing tensions. Only in this way will regional peace and stability be preserved and both countries will focus on the development and well-being of the citizens ", writes Basha.
