Member of the DP National Council, Fatbardh Kadilli, blames Lulzim Basha for the situation in which the party finds itself.
Kadilli emphasized that it is sad to see in this state a party that was born as hope.
"What happens in Albania, a magnet that doesn't allow you to break away even if you want to, is a big investment, made by many people for a party that was born as hope and killed the hope of the opposition. It is sad to see in this state the party that was born as hope and that is unable to create a political project ", Kadilli told ABC News.
Kadilli blamed Basha for the situation the Democratic Party is in.
According to Kadilli, the Democratic Party has serious problems with the truth, while Foltorja has nothing to do with what it was promoting, to become a more democratic party.
"I share the same opinion. At the beginning I firmly believed that the responsibility of the division comes from the individual action of Mr. Berisha for his own political and personal reasons that led the party to split. What started as Foltore had nothing to do with what it proclaimed, it had nothing to do with political ideas to make a more democratic, more open party. Even many theses of my political manifesto were misused in that noisy tour of Berisha in the fall of 2021. Some things were even included in the statute, but words, not thoughts, were taken from that manifesto," Kadilli said.
Kadilli says that Basha did nothing, no battle to keep the party united and to isolate the action undertaken by Sali Berisha.
"The phrase was taken, but not the belief in that value that was represented. And the conclusion is that today I share more responsibility for Mr. Basha, who could not do anything, no honest, real battle to keep PD united, to isolate Berisha's action. And when he remembers to move, he moves in a very shallow way, unrelated to the citizen. Everything that is said in both parts of the Democratic Party is politics, if I want to call it that, but it is not politics that speaks to the citizen. And this party has serious problems with the truth. In both DP Assemblies, I have told the truth to his face. And the past and the loss cannot be winning. Defeat does not become victory and the past does not become the future" , said Kadilli
