The leader of the official Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, in his speech at the celebration of the party's 33rd anniversary, did not leave Sali Berisha unscathed. During his speech, he stated that DP supports SPAK's investigations into crime and corrupt officials.
"Therefore, today from this hall, I want to emphasize once again the full support of the Democratic Party for SPAK, to congratulate its investigations against crime and corrupt officials ", said Basha.
Basha said that the DP's mission is not over yet and that it will be this party that will make Albania. In the end, Basha also made public his party's priorities, some of which are: Open lists, the vote of the diaspora and the vetting of politicians.
" Whoever thinks that the Democratic Party has finished its mission is seriously mistaken. Our mission is the mission of the Albanians: Today they are looking for an alternative to this government rotten by corruption.
Today, they seek to end the 30-year theater of transition, where the more they pretend to be angry, the bigger their problems are, the more they pretend to be opponents, the higher their bargains.
Albanians have understood them. They have realized that everything they do is for themselves and nothing in the interest of Albania. Albanians know well who they are. That's why they are abandoning it more and more. And that's why they have their eyes on us more and more every day. The Albanians are waiting for us ", said Basha, among other things.
