Nazarko : This lifelong association with the name and logo of the Democratic Party seems self-inflicted. The fact that PD may even disappear is not a big drama, oppositionism will survive, it can multiply qualitatively. If you insist on the same policies, you will have the rejection of the Western community.
Tabaku : DP may have made many mistakes. The DP has had many problems in the past, because for one reason we got out of power in 2013, but the support to the USA and the pro-European orientation, I don't believe there is anyone in the DP who opposes it even today in this situation.
Nazarko : The USA has these arguments, of Berisha's corruption, opposition to policies or both. How can the opposition be corrected, how can it be made more credible? Even creating a new alternative could be a path that could be followed.
Tabaku : It is true that the current system favors the big party, the united offer, favors a political offer, rather than a fragmented political offer. And for this reason, I have been constantly asking for the union of DP even with all these problems. It may be that this mechanical union may not produce what we think, but last May showed that 500 thousand opposition votes are there, and today we need to call those people who did not go to vote. Nazarko : That's why I'm saying that something needs to be changed.
Tabaku : 38% participation is not a victory for the government, it is a loss for the opposition, because people have refused to vote for the opposition, and that's where we should go. My personal approach is that cooperation with the US is non-negotiable. As much space and opportunity as I have, I do it to the maximum and it seems superfluous to mention it in this context.
