The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, today embarks on a two-day official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany at the invitation of his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The next day, President Begaj will hold a one-on-one meeting with the President of the FRG, Frank Walter Steinmeier, after which the bilateral meeting of the delegations will be held.
The focus of the meeting will be bilateral relations, the process of Albania's integration into the EU, developments in the Balkans, the Berlin process that promotes the region's rapprochement with the EU, as well as other important international issues in terms of defense and security. .
In Berlin, President Begaj will meet with the leaders of Diaspora associations, with whom he will discuss the economic, social and political integration of Albanians in Germany.
After Berlin, President Begaj will pay a visit to Hamburg, where he will join the red and black fans at the "Volksparkstadion" to support the Albanian National Team in the match against Croatia in Euro 2024.
Afterwards, the head of the government will be received in an official meeting by the mayor of this land, Dr. Peter Tschentscher.
Also, on the agenda of President Begaj is the meeting with the Special Representative of Germany for the Western Balkans, Mr. Manuel Sarraz, as well as with the former rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Knut Fleckenstein.
