Analyst Roland Bejko stressed that the Democratic Party has no chance of winning the elections for the Municipality of Tirana. He said that this is the reason why Sali Berisha has no interest in holding elections in the largest Municipality in the country.
"Berisha does not care about having elections in Tirana. He has zero chances of taking the Tirana Municipality, while the Socialist Party is organized and still has that enthusiasm for general elections. They have enthusiasm because they are in power. Berisha in his history has not been distinguished as a person who respects the law and the Constitution. He does not even respect the party's statute. He cannot win ," he said in an interview for "AbcNews".
He also commented on the other pair of political actors, Agron Shehaj and Adriatik Lapaj, who have stated that they will support the Democratic Party candidate for the Municipality of Tirana. According to him, they abandoned their electorate and are proving that with the latest agreement for the Municipality of Tirana they confirmed that they are "instruments" controlled by Sali Berisha.
" Like Shehaj, like Lapaj, these were instruments in Berisha's hands brought out before the elections. In order for all those anti-Berisha vote flows to fall into controlled hands, before the elections they said that we are new parties and represent a new vision, rejecting Sali Berisha's offer, while a few months later they sat down and made a deal. Sali Berisha burned the candidate Shehaj ," he said.
Analyst Bejko further emphasized that Florjan Binaj is not an independent candidate, as the opposition claims.
" To say that FlorjanBinaj is independent, no one accepts that. I see him as completely hopeless. He is not proven and we do not know how capable he is of managing the municipality of Tirana ," he said.
