Democratic leader Sali Berisha claimed today that the situation in the political force he leads is not good, while demanding that responsibilities be taken.
Although he stands by his thesis that on May 11th there were no elections, but an electoral farce, Berisha states that electoral culture does not allow supporters to distinguish the farce from the elections.
And in this context, Berisha seeks an open dialogue with the DP membership.
"The state of the DP is not what we would like it to be. Understanding those whose electoral culture does not allow them to distinguish a farce from elections, our duty is to sit in an open dialogue with them, and to take every responsibility that belongs to us. We do not go to the supporters to blame them, not to listen to them or to ignore them. No, responsibility is taken. We go to the members and supporters by raising hope, hope only by telling the truth.
The main one is the terrible censorship. We don't have a clear idea of how destructive it is. Their anger is legitimate, our delay is the problem. We were in their interest.
"If we do not open up, if we do not demonstrate to our members and supporters the iron will to open up, for a new image, for strong renewal, we cannot motivate anyone. Each of you should seek to find people with values. I try, no matter how hard I try, I cannot achieve it. Each MP and member must bring values," said Berisha.
