"Berisha has prevented the unification of the opposition", Arben

Former Finance Minister Arben Malaj has spoken about the opposition and the current political situation. What does he think about the fragmentation of the opposition and Berisha as the leader of the Democratic Party?

The DP has been through a lot of difficult situations lately. The fact that the socialist majority in power is confirmed is also linked to the incompetence of the opposition. What do you think?

Arben Malaj: I will speak as a citizen and not as a socialist. I would like the opposition of my country to be stronger. So that it would be positively restructured. Of course, Berisha has his part in the history of Albanian democracy, but the time has come for him to leave, just like Fatos Nano, Sabri Godo and others did. Grabbing the throat of what he built and not letting go with the most diverse arguments has prevented the opposition from uniting by dividing it and has done a harm to itself, but the greatest harm has been done to the country. The only positive thing has been the parliamentary committees and Tabaku's one on incinerators.

Many of the DP colleagues say that they are not ready for another leader, but in other countries it has been seen that the new leader may come in 2-3 months. The problem in our opposition is the fact that they have exported the party debate to local structures. On the other hand, there is the disintegration and departure of Berisha.
