Socialist Party MP Petro Koçi has spoken about the Socialist Party's expectations for the diaspora vote in this year's parliamentary elections. According to him, the emigrant vote may be influenced by the period of their departure from Albania.
"People who left years ago may be colder, less emotional and less fanatical about parties. While those who have emigrated recently may be more emotionally involved and more fanatical in their vote ," he told "News 24."
Koçi emphasized that the impact of the diaspora vote is not expected to bring major changes to the national result.
"This may affect a district where a mandate can be changed for a few votes, but in larger districts I do not believe it will have a significant effect," the MP said.
