The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting with Albanians in the diaspora, where he was welcomed by emigrants in Parma, Italy, today.
During his speech, Berisha compared the attack on US President Donald Trump and the incident that occurred against him in Tirana on December 6, 2022.
"There are two photos, friends. A photo of Trump when they tried to kill him in Butler, but there is another one, when Rama and his clique brought a criminal police agent in front of Sali Berisha and hit me in the hope that I would not speak again ," Berisha said.
The leader of the Democratic Party (DP) has described it as an attempt to politically stop him, comparing it to attacks on opposition leaders in other countries.
"The same evil, the same tentacles, both in the US and in Albania," Berisha emphasized, accusing the government of orchestrated actions against him and the opposition.
Berisha also stated that despite these acts, the Democratic Party will continue the battle for political change in Albania.
