The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has called on citizens to join the protest announced for March 12 in front of the Albanian Parliament.
In a statement to journalists outside the Parliament premises, Berisha stated that the protest will have as its objective the demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
He added that the time of the protest is expected to be determined by the organizing structures in the coming days.
"Albanians should gather on March 12 for the resignation of Edi Rama. Every protest will have this objective ," Berisha said.
Berisha called on citizens to continue the battle to remove the prime minister from power.
"I invite Albanians to continue our battle for his removal, because it is the season for the overthrow of dictatorships and dictators, but here in Albania we will do it ourselves," declared the leader of the Democratic Party.
We recall that internationals have condemned the violence at the February 28 Democratic Party protest, where Molotov cocktails and fireworks were thrown at "Villa 31".
Following the reaction of the French Embassy and the European Union Delegation in Tirana, a public reaction has also come from the German Embassy.
In an official statement, the German Embassy expressed full support for the position of the EU Delegation, condemning the violence used during the protests. The German Embassy emphasizes that the protest cannot justify unacceptable violence against citizens and property.
