"Berisha doesn't steal votes", Rakipi jokes with Fevziu: Even if

Journalist Blendi Fevziu, invited to the show "The Unexposed", was critical of the opposition, saying that it no longer inspires hope. He said that in the DP, only Berisha lives politically, while the others do not believe in winning and want to maintain the current situation.

Fevziu said that Sali Berisha does not steal votes within the DP, while Ylli Rakipi, host of the show, responded with a joke: "even if he doesn't want to, they take him there, they tell him why he doesn't want to."

The debate

Rakipi : Sali Berisha shouts that the elections were stolen and that is why he will not leave the DP. The OSCE/ODIHR report says that they were not stolen.

Fevziu : The report is not positive for the government.

Rakipi : There were problems. The doctor says he will stay and run in 2026 and says it will be an open field and says whoever wants to can run.

Fevziu : Yes, Berisha ran, he is the leader of the DP.

Rakipi : Yes, he says let others come too.

Fevziu : Berisha doesn't win because he steals votes, but he wins because he is truly the person within the party who gets the most votes.

Rakipi : Even if he doesn't want to, they'll take him there. Why not. Flamur, these others. Does the opposition need renewal, or maybe Berisha still needs it?

Fevziu : The opposition needed renewal, the DP electoral list was also wrong, and the way the opposition functioned was not right. The fact that Ilir Alimehmeti or Jorida Tabaku were confirmed in high numbers compared to people who had more militant positions, I think the opposition should be more open. In a society where the vote does not work and where you cannot measure yourself by votes, because they claim that Rama steals the elections, it is very difficult for you to hold them accountable. So I think the opposition should have been more open. A fairly important political leader in Kosovo told me that the PR experts who advised him had told him that you would not make any accusations yourself, you would just smile and talk about a better life. So let the party around you make the denunciations, you will be the optimistic image of the party. You will say that we will do better than Albin Kurti, we will surpass Albin Kurti in the welfare of citizens, so you need to revive optimism.

Rakipi : Do you think Berisha is doing this?

Fevziu : I don't believe he does, because it's not Berisha's style, but I have a point.

Rakipi : He said that, the next day you won't see him again, because he doesn't say any of the things you say.

Fevziu : The opposition should have built not only a denunciation structure, but also a proposal structure. What happened to the new parties? They came with great claims, but only because they turned into copies of the DP, only with denunciations, they were reduced to not even 100 thousand votes. And to think that these votes were the LSI in the last elections, they went up by another 120 thousand, so they did not add anything to the opposition vote. Because they followed the same format, of denunciation against the majority. This is important because without it, fame would have been made here, but it is not a format that always brings out winners. People need hope, they do not just need to get black, they need to see tomorrow.

Rakipi : Maybe that's the problem. A guy from the Youth Forum spoke up a few days ago and went to America, desperate, to relax a bit, because someone might fall for him. Maybe these people can't do it.

Fevziu : Maybe we should be honest. Not just these people. We have a Rama who has consolidated himself in power, who uses all possible methods to maintain and consolidate power, finances, power, media. On the other hand, we have a Berisha who knows that he will not return to power on his own because he is not even old enough and has completed the political cycle, but he returned on his own. You will not find in the DP a single person with the inspiration to change anything. Berisha, even though he is like that, is the only one who lives politically.

Rakipi : Yes, he chose them.

Fevziu : You won't find anyone who believes in victory, they are people who want to maintain their status quo. But, if we are talking about the opposition, but also in the SP, except for 2-3, no one has any ideals. You remember the beginning of the '90s. People clashed, we clashed with each other in journalism, but we believed that we were doing the best.
