Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj responded this evening to SPAK leader Altin Dumani, who stated in the Assembly that "he is welcome if he wants to repent."
In a telephone interview on 'Çim Peka Live' on Syri TV, Ahmetaj said that he does not have to be an accomplice since he has not committed any crime.
Excerpt from the Interview
-You listened to SPAK prosecutor Altin Duman and said, if he is willing to become a collaborator of justice, we welcome him.
Arben Ahmetaj: Even in legal terms, an accomplice is someone who has committed a crime, as Altin Dumani has alleged, and some Dumans who are there as accomplices of justice. I don't have to be an accomplice because I haven't committed any crime. I'm not talking about the presumption of innocence, which the SPAK chief prosecutor refers to the Albanian parliament and says is welcome to be an accomplice. That is, there is no presumption of innocence because of course now I am an example of the 10 standards. This is the first and most important thing.
