Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha today appeared in a conference with journalists and published new facts according to him about the manipulation of the May 14 elections in Elbasan.
"There was no vote, it was controlled by the government," he said. In the footage he denounced how, according to him, administration officials aligned with the government dictated the vote and voted for the citizens.
"I say again, that the repetition of the same topic is sometimes not an attraction for the media, but when it is a fundamental thing, avoiding it is an unforgivable mistake.
This is exactly what forces me to present to you, for the most part, facts and documents that unmask and conclusively demolish the May 14 elections as the ugliest, most unequal process, as the process in which all forms of the pressure on the Albanian voters, as the process in which on the day of the elections in the voting center with the deliberate chaos created, with their occupation by a whole kennel of administration employees who behaved like electoral, political police, there was no election process.
We are finalizing the report in which we document all the serious aspects of the violation of these elections. Therefore, I will start this conversation with you with this issue," he said.
