The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has appeared at SPAK as part of the "compulsory appearance" security measure imposed on him.
As soon as he arrived at the Special Prosecution Office premises, he was welcomed by several sympathizers, who cheered: ' O Sali, o hero. Long live the mountains'.
Former Prime Minister Berisha faces charges of corruption, while his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, and businessman Fatmir Bektashi are accused of involvement in corruption and illegal money laundering activities.
