The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has welcomed the holding of early parliamentary elections in Kosovo, congratulating Prime Minister Albin Kurti on his victory and praising the progress of the process as an example of true democracy. In a reaction on social networks, Berisha said that these elections are a success for the citizens of Kosovo and an inspiring signal for Albanian citizens in Albania.
" The December 28 elections were a true success of Kosovo's new democracy. Free competition, correct administration and respect for the will of the citizens. Congratulations to the citizens of Kosovo, the institutions and the entire political spectrum for this achievement ," Berisha wrote in his post.
But beyond the congratulations, the opposition leader in Albania did not spare accusations towards Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom he described as "the enemy of the free vote" and responsible for the destruction of the elections in Albania. " I hope that this process will be an inspiration for Albanians in Albania, where the Ramaduro of Europe has turned the elections into an ugly electoral farce ," Berisha writes in harsh tones.
In conclusion, he congratulated Albin Kurti on his victory, but also praised the other political forces for their dignified stances during the campaign.

Dear friends, yesterday Kosovo held early parliamentary elections, the second in a 10-month period. These elections for the campaign, the voting procedure, the free competition, the administration of the vote were a true success of the new democracy of Kosovo and all its citizens and I hope an inspiration for Albanians in Albania, where the fierce enemy of the free vote of Albanian citizens, Ramaduro of Europe, has transformed the vital process of free elections into an ugly electoral farce.
On this occasion, I would like to warmly congratulate the free citizens of Kosovo, the country's authorities and the institutions administering the electoral process, and the political forces for the true achievement of democratic order in their country.
I congratulate the winner of the elections, Mr. Albin Kurti, for his resounding victory in these elections, but also all other political forces for their participation and dignified stances during the campaign and their respect for the sovereign's decision. And once again, congratulations to Kosovo, the pride of Albanians!
