The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has announced that the next national protest will be held on April 17.
In a communication on social networks, Berisha asked citizens from all over Albania to join the rally.
"On April 17, Albania in Tirana for the resignation of Edi Rama. Don't think that you will never find peace, there will never be stability for you, for your criminal Balluk organization and drug cartels in Albania," said Berisha.
Berisha also reiterated the call for Rama to resign while expressing his determination that the opposition remains stronger than ever, more determined than ever in its mission.
"Last week, Albanian headline news and one of the world headlines was our peaceful uprising of March 22, with which Albanians proved to the nation and the world that they will never agree with the decisions to protect the theft and corruption of Edi Rama's entourage.
That they will never agree with the annihilation of the justice system or its placement under total and complete control by the head of the criminal organization, Edi Rama.
The protest had an extraordinary, immediate interplanetary resonance.
"I have thanked and I thank all those who became the voice of conscience of Albanians, the voice of conscience of free people around the world, who are not defeated, not subjugated by a criminal organization led by Edi Rama," Berisha said.
The last DP protest was on March 22.
The opposition threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at the government building, several other institutions, and police officers.
The rally began with an attack on the Prime Minister's Office, continued causing chaos in the streets of the capital, and ended with another attack on police forces lined up to prevent protesters from approaching the parliament building.
Six police officers were injured in the protest, while 23 protesters were escorted to the police station.
Unlike other times, German flags were chosen to inspire the protesters, a country that has also expressed reservations about the negotiation process following the decision on Balluk.
