The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has returned to the accusations against the former head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, as he appeared in compliance with the security measure "obligation to appear" at the Special Prosecution Office. Berisha is being tried at the GJKKO on the charge of passive corruption related to the "Partizani" file.
After signing the application to SPAK and leaving the relevant note, Berisha, in a statement to the media, recalled the vetting process, which paved the way for Altin Dumani to remain in the justice system and then become part of SPAK.
" Altin Dumani stated in the vetting that: I made a purchase order contract for a residential apartment with an area of 127 square meters on 18.8.2006, in a five-story building, in Tirana. The total value of the apartment is 50 thousand euros. The amount repaid is 9 thousand euros at the time of purchase and 2 million and 950 thousand lek on 16.11.2006 at the time of receiving the loan. The remaining obligation is 2 million lek, which will be made after completing the documentation", Berisha quoted several documents. He then states "I want to clarify on page 8, where Dumani says that: we started living in this apartment, the apartment that we ordered in 2006. In the apartment, he says, I started living in 2004.
"Is there a more shameful lie than this? On page 7 it says I ordered the apartment with an order contract on 18.8.2006. On page 8 it says I started living in this apartment in 2004. And I spent 1 million and 400 thousand lek on the interior decoration," said Berisha.
Following the accusations, the former Prime Minister stated that Dumani represents a race of fraudsters in SPAK, which is the country's most important prosecution office.
"The commission found, it says, that the purchase price of this property is worth 390 euros. The property is in one of the most elite areas of Tirana, somewhere near Liqeni i Thatë or Kodra e Diellit, in that area where prices are the highest and that at that time, according to reliable sources, they were at least 750-800 euros. Now look at what the commission says. The commission says that the purchase price of this property is worth 390 euros. The commission assessed this price in relation to market prices, similar orders or purchase and sale contracts in this area and this price does not result below the construction cost.
So, in the safest version, it is far from the market price, but it is at the construction cost price. So, the apartment was purchased at the construction cost price. Do you hear that now? Purchased at the cost price ," Berisha said.
