The head of PD Sali Berisha has commented on the 2025 budget presented by the Rama government.
The leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha, stated that this budget foresees zero salary increases and totally ignores health, education, farmers and business.
Berisha emphasized that this is an unimaginable ridiculous treatment.
"Let's go back a bit, what is left of the biggest budget in history for Albanian citizens? For the health service, a total of 2.5 percent of the Domestic Product is invested. For education, 2.9, but remember that total spending has increased by 6.7 percent. So, expenses in these two areas increase almost 3 times less than in other areas. Fields that are directly related to the citizen, to their health, to their children. Zero salary increase in 2025.
Unimaginable ridiculous treatment. The punitive VAT tax does not change and a total of 40 million is left for those who provide more than 20 percent of the country's gross production. Can you imagine 40 million euros for those who make up 40 percent of the country's population and give 20 percent? They are told bankrupt, bankrupt, bankrupt. What happens to businesses? How much of this budget goes to the businesses that are its generators? Not only are taxes not reduced, but taxes are increased again and, in addition to them, they are expected to pay 500 million euros more through arbitrary methods. So, isn't this a total disregard for businesses in Albania?", said Berisha.
