Blocking the result in Vora and Unit 10 in Tirana, a scandalous decision...
A real scandal occurred today at the end of the voting process. While everyone was waiting for the results of the vote for Vora and Unit 10 in Tirana, where voting was conducted electronically, there was a sudden statement from Ilirjan Celibashi. The Commissioner announced that there was a request from the DP not to release the results and he complied, stating that the results will be released tomorrow morning.
But we are in the midst of a scandal. Millions of euros have been spent on electronic voting in these two areas, so that the results are released 1 hour after the voting closes and not after 24 hours, as they are released a day later with manual counting.
Meanwhile, the CEC itself has adopted a regulation for this process and point 18 states: " The preliminary result is issued and published by the CEC after sending to the SEMVR the voting result for each voting center where the pilot project is implemented ."
This maneuver contradicts every legal norm. The CEC is supposed to act independently in this process and should not obey the whims of political parties. Tomorrow, the Socialist Party may come out and demand that the results not be released, in order not to demotivate the electorate and the counters.
This is Celibashi's second scandal. For years, millions have been spent on electronic devices and we have a total failure year after year. SPAK itself has launched a criminal investigation into the 2021 elections, over two tenders for electronic devices worth 21 million euros. Even in this case, Dumani must act, as millions from citizens' taxes cannot be thrown away. /Pamphlet
