The Electoral College today dismissed the Democratic Party's lawsuit, which had opposed the decision of the Appeals and Sanctions Commission (KAS) to allow the counting of diaspora votes from Greece.
The DP considered this process illegal and in violation of the procedures provided for by the Electoral Code, demanding the annulment of the KAS decision and the non-counting of votes received from emigrants in Greece.
However, the College has decided not to accept the Democrats' lawsuit, paving the way for these votes to be included in the final result in some districts. This could directly affect the final composition of the Parliament, especially in areas where the result is close.
