Democratic leader Sali Berisha has addressed a call to all Albanians who have the right to vote and live outside Albania to register by March 12, if they want to exercise their right to vote in the May 11 elections.
Berisha has addressed a call to Albanians to register on the PD portal. Apparently, Berisha has chosen this route to count the votes of Albanians living outside the borders, creating an idea of the result of the voting from the Diaspora.
More or less the same strategy is being followed by Edi Rama's socialists, which means that the two main parties in the current political scene will try to count the votes of Albanians abroad, perhaps as a sample to make rough estimates on what what will the boxes have on may 11th
"An intense work schedule. You will engage every possible human and financial resource in identifying our emigrants with voting lists, with meetings with citizens. And I repeat it again: this election is a chance for every democrat and democrat, for every DP supporter to triple their vote, with two others who are out.
Each of us has here from 2 to 30 tribes, cousins, friends, family members. So our phones don't have to rest. Our connections with them must be continuous.
I asked the deputies, and a project will be done each, and I ask you to create groups with individuals who have the greatest knowledge. There are hundreds of us who have lived 10 years in emigration, 5 years in emigration, full.

This, too, is a necessity. You are branch managers. You know better where the Matjans are mostly, where the Gramshiots are, where the booksellers are, and so on.
We have created here the page for the registration of Albanians abroad, the DP page. We must be very clear that the registration on the PD website has only one main purpose: to give every Albanian abroad the useful instructions to register at the CEC.
Because, I personally and you have received numerous messages on how to proceed to vote.
We now have our website, we have a call center for intensive communications, we are further modernizing the methods of communication. We expect you to urgently bring all the registrants you have to register them on the PD portal. In this way, let's do everything to catch up on the lost time we have, because these elections for 1.5 million Albanians, de facto, close on March 12.
Those who have registered until March 12 will vote in May," said Berisha.
