Fredi Beleri seems to have abused the permission given to him by the Directorate of Prisons, to be sworn in as an MEP.

After numerous pressures and threats from Athens, the Albanian government decided to withdraw and the Directorate of Prisons gave Beleri 5 days of permission to swear in as an MEP.

In the document provided by " Pamphlet ", it is clearly specified that Beler is given permission to stay in two countries. In his residence in Himare and in Strasbourg, where the relevant address is specified. Today Fredi Beleri, upon leaving the cell, headed for Athens, a place that is not mentioned anywhere in the permit.

Leave for Beler

In point 3 of the document, it is emphasized that the permit must be carried out specifically in the above-mentioned places, that is, in Himare and in Strasbourg. So, is his visit to Greece a violation of the permit? At the end of the letter it is stated that non-implementation of the above conditions charges the person with criminal responsibility according to Article 323 of the Criminal Code. The article in question specifies: " The removal of the detained, arrested or sentenced to imprisonment from the place of mandatory stay or during his transportation from one place to another, is punishable by imprisonment of up to five years ".

We have a prisoner, who has gone out on leave and is not in the required place. Beleri even said this openly, declaring to the media that he will go to Athens. He met Prime Minister Mitsotakis, who, according to Greek media, welcomed him with open arms.

" I hope that soon you will be released from prison for good, that this painful chapter will finally end for all of us, so that we can move on and look forward ," Mitsotakis told Beleri at the beginning of their meeting. He has also continued with the "spikes" towards Albania.

" We also have every reason to seek an Albania that ... moves closer to Europe, strictly adhering to its European commitments. I think this is a common goal that we all want to work for ," he said

While Beleri stated: " I believe that the rule of law, the right to choose and to be chosen, are not self-evident in the country where we live. I want to help with this. Let's help the Greek ethnic minority to stay in the ancestral home, but also for this country to come closer and become a member of the European family ". / Pamphlet
